Mark Jarvis left his high-profile job in style: the former Dell CMO will get a severance payment of $1.25 million, per an SEC 10K filing.

According to the filing, assuming Jarvis agrees to the terms, he will receive a payment of $625,000, an amount “designed to compensate [Jarvis] for the equivalent of one year of base salary,” and another payment of $625,000 “for the equivalent value of [Jarvis’] target incentive bonus payment for Fiscal Year 2009.”

Jarvis, formerly the CMO at Oracle, joined Dell in 2007 and was ousted, along with Michael Cannon, president of global operations, in a management shakeup. (Cannon received a severance payment of $10 million.)

During his relatively short tenure at Dell, Jarvis introduced restyled PCs with unusual casings, including bamboo. Most notably, he was behind the creation of a new WPP ad agency, Enfatico, which was designed primarily to service Dell.
