FDA Panel Rejects P&G's Intrinsa Patch
Dec 6, 2004
Washington—Procter & Gamble's testosterone patch, Intrinsa, was unanimously rejected last week by a Food & Drug Administration advisory panel. Developed by Watson Pharmaceuticals, Intrinsa is meant to boost sex drive in post-menopausal women. The panel urged further studies to determine long-term safety, making it unlikely the Intrinsa patch will be approved for sale any time soon.
